CHICKEN CURRY WITH RICE

Ingredients

  • 1/2 kg chicken breasts, cut into small pieces
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp minced fresh ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp unsweetened yoghurt
  • 1 tbsp curry
  • 1/2 tsp ground red pepper
  • 1/2 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp ground turmeric
  • salt
  • 100 ml cooking cream
  • 1 tomato, diced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • cooked rice, any kind

Instructions

  1. In a large container, mix together chicken breasts, lemon juice, ginger, garlic, yoghurt, curry, red pepper, cumin and salt. let the mixture rest for at least one hour in the fridge.

  2. In a large skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Add onion then diced tomato and cook until soft. Add chicken mixture and cook for 3-4 minutes.

  3. Stir in cooking cream and simmer for 10-15minutes. (you can add 1 tsp corn starch if you want a thick consistency)

  4. Serve with rice.

POULET AU CURRY ET RIZ

Ingredients

  • 1/2 kg poitrines de poulet, coupées en cube
  • 2 cas huile d’olive
  • 1 cas jus de citron
  • 1 cas gingembre frais râpé
  • 2 gousses d’ail , hachées
  • 2 cas yaourt nature
  • 1 cas curry
  • 1/2 cc poivre rouge
  • 1/2 cc cumin
  • 1/2 cc curcuma
  • sel
  • 100 ml crème fraîche
  • 1 tomate, coupée en petits dés
  • 1 oignon, haché
  • Du riz cuit

Instructions

  1. Dans un grand récipient, mélanger les poitrines de poulet, le jus de citron, le gingembre, l’ail, le yaourt, le curry, le poivron rouge, le cumin et le sel. Laissez le mélange reposer au moins une heure au réfrigérateur.

  2. Dans une grande poêle, chauffer l’huile à feu moyen. Ajouter l’oignon puis la tomate en dés et cuire. Ajouter le mélange de poulet et cuire pendant 3-4 minutes.

  3. Incorporer la crème de cuisson et laisser mijoter pendant 10-15 minutes. (vous pouvez ajouter 1 c.c de maizena si vous voulez une consistance épaisse)

  4. Servir avec du riz.
